The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Names Two New Directors to the Board

The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation is pleased to welcome two new members to its board of directors: Stephanie Sanford and Stasia Washington. Their appointment comes following an extensive process assisted by retained executive search firm, Berkhemer Clayton, Inc.
Paul Haaga, Chair of the board, and Peter Taylor, Chair of the search committee, enthusiastically welcome the two new directors who bring in-depth experience and long careers in business and community involvement here in Los Angeles County.
Stephanie Sanford is a partner with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as co-head of the Americas Institutional Client Business. She leads the team’s business development and client engagement strategy for pensions, healthcare, and nonprofit clients in the US, Latin America, and Canada. Previously, she headed the Asset Management West Coast Institutional Client Business. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1997, and currently serves on the Diversity Committee in Asset & Wealth Management. Currently Vice President for the National Association of Securities Professionals (SoCal Chapter), Stephanie serves on the Advisory Board of Girls Who Invest, and the governing Boards of Toigo Foundation, Junior Achievement of Southern California, and Westside Neighborhood School. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in government and African American studies.
Stasia Washington is a managing director with Lido Advisors. She is responsible for guiding families, nonprofits, and private foundations on all aspects of financial asset management. Stasia has over 25 years of combined experience in non-legal trust services, capital markets, philanthropy, and family governance, most recently as a senior vice president with First Foundation Advisors from 2013 to 2023. She currently serves on the board of The LA84 Foundation, as an advisor to Schwab Charitable Foundation, and on the audit committee of MusicCares, where she served on the board for six years. Stasia previously served on the boards of KCET Public Broadcasting, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science, and the West Angeles Community Development Corporation. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from Pepperdine University.

Parsons Foundation improves the well-being of Los Angeles County residents through responsive grantmaking to local nonprofit organizations providing direct services addressing civic and cultural, education, health, and human service needs. In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation collaborates with public and private partners on initiatives designed to maximize the effectiveness of its grantee partners and support the region’s nonprofit sector.
